Macau/Hong Kong - Day 3 ( Part 2 )

We got our pictures then head to Causeway bay for Krispy Kreme !!!

It was quite a walk to TST MTR. The initial sign that showed the TST MRT sign leads on to signs after signs.

Then we bought the 1 day pass more convenience sake not rather it was cheaper. But in the end, it was indeed cheaper.

We head to 铜罗湾. The krispy kreme was just near one of the MTR exit.

We took a break and tried out the famous donuts. It was expensive, about $1.80 to $2 SGD, our donut factory cost about $1.20 to $1.50.

But the dough is somehow different, the external is more crisp with a really soft inside. I am no pastries expert, beats me what could be the difference.

I had the double chocolate and the new york cheese. The new york cheese was sinful, with load of cheese on top and inside was some sort of cream. All other flavours looked very tempting too.

Then is time to KLKK around Causeway Bay. One interesting thing was weekends certain streets are closed so facilitate easier KLKK. Once you are outside the streets, you can feel the bustling and was like people are “rushing to somewhere”. And with the traffic jamming sound, buses, trams and cars, it just adds to the overall atmosphere of KLKK.

Times Square

People KLKK all over the Causeway Bay

More people KLKK

There was an area from a bridge, along the bridge till the end of the bridge, it was packed with Ps, simply like picnicking as if in their home. It was a Sunday so probably their off day and they used it to gather and meetup with friends.

The bridge full of Ps gathering

There was still some time so we head to 黄大仙 temple. It was very accessible as it was just beside the 黄大仙 MTR. This was a popular spot for locals and tourist to get their wishes heard and of course best if it will come true. The 求签 was free but the 解签 was not free. There are about 160 stalls that offered this service, cannot imagine how they survived. Some in Cantonese only, some in various languages, some has computer, some has famous people visited them, etc.
Row of shops selling offering goods

The fountain in the temple. Overheard the tourguide say going round it brings good luck

At the main temple area, you can see hoards of people offering their wishes and ”求ing 签”. It was really like smoked out. We were joking even if we do 求签. We might get an email weeks later telling us that your wish cannot be processed because it was not within its jurisdiction :)

A multi language 解签 shop. There are about 160 of them

After that, we really need a drink.

We got some herbal tea. The top selling brand in HongKong for the 4th consecutive year.

Quite expensive though, about $3 SGD. If anyone was watching TVB series 舞动全城, the secondary theme was also about the top company selling herbal tea. The name was 喜洋洋 in the show.

We sat down outside to rest our legs and get hydrated.

The area was some 老人区, just like our Chinatown, you see old people sitting around, strolling, etc.
