Macau/Hong Kong - Day 3 ( Part 1 )

3rd day into our trip and it was Hong Kong day. 2 days in Macau, some interesting discoveries.

1) Housing is old. Buildings are so closed together and do not seem to be built upwards.
2) Zebra crossings are for pedestrians to stop and vehicles to proceed ! Hiong !
3) Traffic lights are few
4) There are a lot of roundabouts which interconnects roads and that seems to work
5) Pharmacies state “no fake medicine” on their signboards. Wonders why.

Back to the trip …

Woke up early. About 6:30 am, washed up and went for kopi at the buffet breakie. Then we head to the ferry terminal. We wanted to catch the 8 am ferry but earliest was 8:30 am, thus have to wait a while.

We took the slower ferry which goes to Tsim Sha Tsui, about 75 mins. It cost about $155 HKD.

On the waiting area, we saw Shawn Yue, Yu Mun Lok, 薛凯琪 and 2 other friends。血盆 went to ask to be photographed because his gf liked him but was rejected.

On the ferry, probably because of the bumpy ride and I didn’t eat anything, felt abit seasick and felt like “merlion”.

We arrived at about 10 am and went through custom smoothly. We wanted to find “1 Peking Road” which was the building name, there are a few restaurants there for yum cha.

With some directions, we made our way there. Chao Inn was the place. It was already quite crowded but we were still early and got a seat. We were hungry !!! Har Kow, Siew mai, Chion Fun, Char Siew Bao, Char Siew Soo and a lot more. All familiar stuffs but I liked the char siew bao, the sauce is abit different from the ones I had in SG.

We had our full then head back to the ferry terminal for some maps. Then we walked to Avenue of Stars where hong kong stars leave their hand prints on the grounds. It started from the clock tower, then you see names you never heard before and probably they are dead, then names which are famous and probably we know of, started to appear.

The TST Clock Tower

Behind me is Hong Kong Island

No explanations needed. It says Jackie Chan there
