I booked a Latio !!!

COE dropped around 6k but car prices dropped around 1.5k to 3k, but still prompted me to go around test driving.

Initial choices all fall apart last min, somehow decided to get a Nissan Latio Sedan. Latio was never in my plan due to his exterior looks which is not really "WOW".

Tried Mazda 3 SP and Suzuki Swift on the eve of CNY eve. And Jazz during the CNY weekdays.

Great exterior looks, body kit, 16" alloy rims
Interior is as usual great, integrated audio system, dashboard design and colors looks nice
Pickup slow from rest, can feel car not really moving when you tried to accelerate
Advertised price is at 3.5% interest rate .... Booo
Only 1 free servicing at 5,000 km
Current colors red and blue sucks

Suzuki Swift
Best exterior looks
Cheapest at $48,500@2.85% but without body kits
Overall driving and control is smooth
Free servicing at 1,000/5,000/10,000
Back seats too cramp for 3 persons, Boot is really too small
Interior so so only, looked inferior

Honda Jazz
Interior is nice, comparable to Mazda 3
2 tone leather seats of numerous color combinations
Back seats can sit 3, consider spacious for a hatchback. Bootspace still okay.
No free servicing
Expensive at 52,500@2.88%

Toyota Yaris
Went to the showroom on their first day operation during CNY. 5,466,776,153,621,787 people inside. Small buffet for people to tuck in, preparation for some kind of ceremony. Left as no one interested to serve me

Nissan Latio
Interior ultimate spaciousness in its class
Exterior looks better with dynamic series bodybit
Feature packed, keyless engine ignition, plamascluster ion aircon, FC 15 ( yet to verify ).

In the end, it was the most worth it in the price range :)

Norbit

My 3rd movie of CNY. Can't remember when was the last time I watched a Eddie Murphy movie, this wasn't any of the choices. But then, in the end, I would say quite nice with EM's slap stick kinda of action in mind.

Simple story about a orphan, Norbit who was brought up by Mr Wong, a wonton restaurant cum orphanage owner. He met his childhood sweetheart Kate by Thandie Newton there but she was adopted so she left.

As Norbit was bully all the time at school, Rasputia rescued him. She is about 2,451,676,771,872 times bigger then Norbit. Somehow they got together and got married.

Then the actual story begins ... Kate returns to buy the orphanage from Mr Wong. Norbit who was still very much in love with her was thrilled that she was back. But with Rasputia's 3 brothers evil plan to buy the orphanage and turn it into a sleazy strip bar, things didn't get easy for Norbit.

He was disappointed that Kate was engaged as well, to a guy who always cheat women's money.

Well .... It is a comedy, so usually has a happy ending.

EM is Norbit, Rasputia and Mr Wong. EM played these diverse characters and made them alive in this crazy comedy.

Moment of the movie :

Rasputia went for bikini waxing, when it was peeled off from her private parts. She found the police whistle !!! Norbit and her has been role playing in bed, Policeman was one of Norbit's role.

Quite gross if you start thinking about that.

门徒

Another hk police movie, this time round with drug trafficking as the main theme. An undercover is a must for such movie, Daniel Wu as 阿力 is the one trying to gain trust from drug kingpin Andy Lau as 昆哥 and at the same time trying to nab him with all the evidences.

As usual, during the times as undercover which takes years, their relationship is more than just triad boss and kakia. As 阿力 plot to gain his trust and 昆哥 letting him to run the show. He showed him the ropes of the trade and how this drug game is played. But in the end, 昆哥 still got nabbed but killed himself in the police station.

Another important theme of the movie revolves around people taking drugs, so enter 张静初 as 阿芬 and Louis Koo as his husband. 阿芬 took their daughter and left Louis in the attempt to kick the habit and with 阿力's help almost succeed. But then to no avail as Louis found them while 阿力 was abroad. 阿芬 took drugs initially to show Louis he can kick his junkie habit by 以身试法 but got herself killed in the end.

Louis and 张静初 as junkies looks quite impressive in the movie which somehow has more space to 发挥. Andy Lau looked old with his dyed white hair in the movie, maybe to show that he is down with illness too.

"人为什么会吸毒, 昆哥和阿芬死后. 我开始明白, 是为了空虚. 哪是吸毒可怕或空虚可怕"

Moment of the movie :

阿力's trip to factory where the drugs are made was accidentally found by another team of policemen. They beat him up to force him to lead them to the factory. The policemen lead who wanted promotion badly knowing the he was the undercover prepared to deny this fact.

During their raid, the metal door that front the factory was hard to breakin, but eventually they broke a hole. The lead put his hand through to unleash the lock inside. One of the kakia saw it, with a sudden rage picked up a hammer .... and keep hammering his hand till it 斩断 !!! Hiong !

Ghost Rider

Based on the marvel comic series, about a young lad who made a pact with a dark force to sell his soul. In return, it will cure his father's cancer. It did cure him but also killed him during his father's stunt ride performance.

Years later, the dark force return to use Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze to deal with blackheart and his kakia. With the powers given to him by the dark force, Johnny can transform himself into ghost rider .... basically is a skull head in flames, with powers like :

> Hellfire, a supernatual fire that burns the soul which he can projects
> Hellcycle, his vehicle which is in flame as well
> Penance Stare, in which the victim stares into his eyes and somehow the victim's soul will burnt with scenes of all the sins being revealed *Do not work on SaMe*
>Enchanted Chain, is a chain where he wields as a weapon

Somehow, blackheart and his kakia just wasn't enough even to be on par with him. Eva Mendes as Roxanne was the eye candy who was Johnny's childhood sweetheart.

In the end, looks like a sequel is coming up as Johnny refuse to return his power back to the dark force when the deal was over.

A typical comic adaptation but not with a familiar one.

Taking a "close" Pee

This guy's toilet located at the basement of concourse shopping mall is the world's first toilet that has urinals designed for either "Chang & Eng" or "Brokeback" couples !!!!!

Think of it, it might be too far apart for "Chang & Eng", "Brokeback" couples should like it :)

Sat Dinner@Diandin Leluk again

Second visit to this place, we are satisfied customer again.

The clear tomyum soup is not as spicy as the normal ones we order last time. Without the chilli oil in it, not as overpowering. But it still tingle your taste bud and will finish every drop of it.

We did try the hotplate black pepper beef, slightly different from those that is from those chinese tse char stall. Maybe it has more sauce and of the some secret 极乐 concoction that makes the sauce taste so good. Forget to take picture of this though .....

Route March 1

In view of optimal combat fitness for our ATEC in May, we are supposed to go for 3 route marches in Feb, Mar and Apr. As usual, though I am C9L2, even SAF do not need you, they will still recall you.

This was evidently proven yesterday yet again in the history of the SAF. Those downgraded, MCed, or somehow couldn't do the march was suppose to help out as water points, safety or preparing ration.

During our death wait, found out the num of people "Bah Long Long" here and there can form a company minor !

The march started around 9 am, 12km, 15 mins rest for every 4km. The guys were back around 12+. "Cock up" has become a standard in SAF, with the need to pack 552 boxes of lunches. *In the first place, not sure why need to pack ? The cookhouse was only 20m away from the parade square. Also we could not packed and delivered fast enough so somehow think maybe not all people ate and already out-processed. Got 552 persons meh ?*

9 bags to pack the food, each bag can put 21 boxes, so ...... Hmmmmm .... 189 boxes each trip, so 3 trips at least !!! And the need to empty 9 bags each time after you delivered to the parade square. And most people with outprocess in their minds, food wasn't the first priority.

In the end, bo chuped, we just left with boxes I think left at the parade square and in the cookhouse.

Sometimes the "balls" just don't go in

After several attempts to pocket any or both balls, it just defy physics and refuse to go in ...........

农历新年

咚隆咚呛 ... 咚隆咚呛 ... 欢迎大地回春, 枝头儿朵朵花如景, 原野层层草如茵 ... 一首每年农历新年都会听到的歌. 我都已忘记曾几何时喜欢过新年, 那必定是很小的时候. 现在新年只是个很长很闷的公共假期, 所有地方都关闭, 大多数人都没空, 电视节目一年比一年差. 最好是找几位猪朋狗友, 打不眠不休的麻将.

小时候的新年多姿多彩, 无优无虑, 穿新衣, 拿红包, 吃新年零食, 跟表哥表姐表弟表妹打成一片玩到疯, 又不用上课.别忘了还有历年的 "新年赌王大赛", 我几乎什么都会玩 ... 欠缺的是运气 .. 嗨. 几乎能用渴望来形容多想每年的农历新年快点来. 但是渐渐 .. 渐渐 .. 渐渐 .. 渐渐长大了, 已找不到理由去感受和享受农历新年的气氛. 跟亲戚们疏远了, 从每年会见几次面, 到根本都没见面. 见面时陌生的招呼, 无聊的问候, 默默的然后.

不能再玩到疯了, 没有共同话题了, 赌博没兴趣了, 红包钱不稀罕了 ... 面对现实.

"当兵了吗?" "还在当兵?" "读完 Poly 了吗?" "在哪里做工啊?" "还在那里做啊?" "不找个女朋友?" "女朋友没来?" .... 这些反复重复的 standard 问题, 是在双方面根本都有 generation gap 和 陌生感产生的. 年龄接近的亲戚, 虽然没有 generation gap, 但是实在太久没见面了 .. 虽然话题比较能谈, 但是新年碰面的时间难配合, 更别说好好沟通的时间.

除夕夜, 在家吃火锅变成了一定. TCS 的新年倒数节目 simply is dull, boring, 年复一年都一样. 假日特备电影更是 "惨败". 初一大家通常 either 聚集在一个人的家里, 全部人都来 or 去家家户户拜访. 别忘了有 mother's side 的人 and father's side 的人, depends also 还有没有跟这些人来往, 若没有根本就不拜访 !

除了 McDonalds, Giodarno, Cinemas, 初一到初三, 大多数的地方都没营业. 全部人都 gathered in-house, 派红包, 拿红包, 吃零食, TCSS, 21点, 麻将 .. etc. 农历新年的假期是最长的, 有时感觉过得好慢, 有时好像突然间又需要上班了.

从渴望, 到喜欢, 到随便, 到厌倦, 到没兴趣, 到不喜欢, 到讨厌好像很快似的. 去年的新年是我最想忘记的, 但谈何容易 ......

Singapore vs Thailand

Another sellout crowd !!! Even on a weekday ... maybe everyone was hoping to catch the glimpse of the last, last, last, last, last, last, last, last match against Thailand at National Stadium. Soon, soon, soon, soon, soon, soon, soon, soon, soon it will be tear down and a new sports hub will be build, a 55,000 all seater with retractable roof, target to finish by 2011 .... That is long. IR also finish liao ....

Singapore have the better chances and control of the game throughout, though thais are technically abit more better. But the thai are no more the supreme of SEA, they lost 4-0 to China in their last 2 encounter and struggle to beat KTsia, Myanmar and Vietnam.

We took the lead in the first half, seemingly a deflected shot flew past the thai keeper but a well deserved lead. Thais broke the offside trap in the second half and rounded Lewis to equalize. The game was marred by a incident which I somehow do not how to describe .... Singapore given a penalty nearing to the finish.

Thai refuse to play on !!!! Win liao !!!

Like a kid throwing tandrum at Toy's R us .... Just lack the rolling on the floor and crying ... "Mummy ... I didn't push him ... why the black guy give penalty ??!?!?!"

Took more than 15 mins for them to resume the damn game ... in which Mustafic put away the penalty with authority ... that gives us a 2-1 lead and won us the game.

Dubious decisions are a part of soccer ... Sigh ... What did they want to achieve from that ? You mean ... after refusing to play ... the KTsia referee will say "Ok lah ... Soly Soly ... Tak penalty ... Kan we karry on playing or not ?"

Wonder what the coaches were doing also, encouraging the players to stop ? or act blurr ?
What the guys in coats/tuxedo ? AFC offficials ? Here to eat buffet at VIP area only ?
No authority to act ?

Or they calling the Thai KT General PM to ask him what to do ? He won't pick up what ... because he thinks all the lines are tapped by Singapore !!!! Wah Lau eh .... Omigod ... Win liao ... Use ur blain !!! Use ur blain !!!
