Sometimes one just wonder ... Bastard ?

There are all kinds of people with all kinds of characters with all kinds of extent of specific characteristic. I am way far from perfect but sometimes you really wonder why there are such people around.

In today's "Mind your body", an article on a taxi driver turned ambulance driver. He share one of his experience. By law, drivers are to give way to ambulance driver, but only civil defence ambulance has a camera which will "capture" drivers who do not give way. Private ambulance do not have, thus they are not given the right of way most of the time.

Most thinking they turned on the siren to beat traffic jam ...

In this particular incident, the driver was rushing a patient from changi airport to CGH, but was blocked by a grey toyota who refused to give way. Finally, he gave way when a member of the public wave to him to give way.

Here comes the "sometimes one really wonder" part ...

This toyotian tailed the ambulance to the hospital, waited for the driver to settle the patient. He waited by his ambulance, then told him "Lucky you have a patient, if not, he will report him to traffic police".

The toyotian even admit he was a civil defence officer. Isn't this more ironic ?

As a CD officer, I would assume saving lives is main priority in accidents or disasters. But in this situation, he would rather gambled that the ambulance was trying to beat traffic jam than rather it having a patient on board ?

What logic ? Pure ego ? KT ? Even with EQ+IQ, probably also quite hard to guess what was he thinking ?

Have been driving on the road for about 6 mths. It is evidently shown that though not most but still ... drivers have really bad driving habits.

But this toyotian even followed the driver to hospital and just telling him that, this definitely has nothing to do with driving habits. Sometimes one just wonder ....

Wed Lunch@Thai Express

Not the first time at Thai express, but food this time round was somehow better. Probably, we ordered numerous dishes and shared it around. Mango salad, chicken salad, fried squid, prawn toast, bbq chicken, black pepper soft shell crab with vermicelli, prawn paste fried rice, green curries, etc.

Sound like a feast. The TE pina colada is a must try, it will be something u dream for during a hot day ! Pineapple soda with cubes of pineapples and a scoop of coconut ice cream. Simply wonderful.

It should go into my list of "Must try, Should go, Can Eat" in Singapore. I am compiling the list now, it should hit about 80+. Food is something which Singapore really enjoy and go for. Price, ambience, taste, value for money, variety, location, service, etc are all factors people take into. Though good simple natural service seems rare in Singapore and probably people getting use to it.

We pop by for muddy mud pie, just beside TE. Another simply must try dessert :)

New Chapter

Tactics ? Form ? Players ? Luck ? Manager ?

Spurs continued its dismay season. They played much better last night, more possession, created chances, no kamikaze goalkeeping errors or goon defensive mistakes. But then ... somehow ... somehow

Bburn is in form and same points as Chelsea. Friedel is in great form and kept spurs at bay with a string of good saves. Spurs was rewarded when lennon was brought down in the box, the first penalty given on the speedy winger ever.

Keane tucked away the penalty superbly. Friedel no chance.

Then out of no where, mccarthy's outside penalty box shot was deflected off dawson and flew past cerny. Haiz ... *Kaoz*

Since you are already suay, how about a 93rd min winner ? Samba scored off Santa Cruz's lay off from a corner.

Berbatov, malbranque, lennon and even lee has chances to score. Bburn has 4 shots on target, the mccarthy fluke, samba's goal, santa cruz's "backed pass" effort and bently long shot.

Ramos better be worshipping some hiong "God" or really have effective influence on the players. If not, hard to see how the tide can be turned.

Andrea Palop looked set to replace Robinson, his form has dropped significantly. $18 million Kanoute and $25 million Alves is on Ramo's wish list but have already spend about $40 million, not sure where will the $ come from ?

Relegation will be an evil thought :(

Antioxidant Scan

Pharmanex came to our company. They have this scanner which can so called detect the antioxidant level in one's body. It gives you an immediate reading of the carotenoid antioxidant levels in your skin which is the skin carotenoid score.

Antioxidants can cancel out the cell-damaging effects of free radicals and people who eat fruits and vegetables rich in polyphenols and anthocyanins have a lower risk of cancer, heart disease and some neurological diseases

Mine is 21,000 :(

One must be in the region of 50,000 to be considered healthy. If this machine is really scientifically and medically proven, I doubt most people will get the healthy score. They claim they have scanned a Singaporean with 130,000, this person probably is a 植物人.

According to them, factors that affect your antioxidant level :

Diet
Avoid deep fried stuff, meaty food. 5-6 servings of fruits and vege daily.

Sleep
zzzzz before 11

Stress
To me, this is a bad catalyst for almost everything

Excercise
Regular excercise weekly.

From the above, probably conclude why I am at the 21,000 region. Being a typical Singaporean, except stress, I am not doing enough for the other 3 factors :(

Shucks ... Looks like I need to do much more if I am to collect my CPF !!

Microsoft takes stake in Facebook

Facebook and Microsoft Corp. today announced that the two companies would expand their advertising partnership and that Microsoft will take a $240 million equity stake in Facebook’s next round of financing at a $15 billion valuation. Under the expanded strategic alliance, Microsoft will be the exclusive third-party advertising platform partner for Facebook, and will begin to sell advertising for Facebook internationally in addition to the United States.

For a company that is less than 3 yrs old and annual revenue of less than $200 million, MS is taking a serious look this guy. Online communities has become so popular and valued in millions and billions. Friendster, myspace and facebook, etc.

Zuckerberg, the whizkid who started facebook rejected a 1 billion takeover from yahoo last year and probably a very wise move seeing situation now. Sep US numbers shows myspace has the biggest number of users at about 60+ millions, facebook at about 30+ millions while MS live space at about 10 million.

Facebook is planning to double its payroll to about 700 employees.

With targets of as many as 300 millions users worldwide, MS is hoping to use facebook as a ad magnet to increase its online advertising power. In addition, the thousands of widgets that facebook got from third party developers is a huge success and this seems to have attracted MS as well.

I became a facebookster weeks back and somehow I must admit it is quite addictive. It seemingly is simple but yet effective. The results are surprising and somehow really could linked up everyone. It is like a ripple effect in where it became a must to use as most people are using it.

Scam ! Scam ! Scam !

Saw this email in my inbox. So many scam news recently, lucky draw winners, fake court order, fake kidnapped or accident claims, etc. Does it really boils down to demand and supply ? So if no one will kena conned, then no one will con ?

Probably, there are so many people around the world, it is worth a try. Anyway, getting money electronically is like so easy money that conmen would be too hard to resist.

But I still believe if so called demands dropped, then probably the conmen might probably not be so tempted but then too many people around liao. “Goons” probably have a large enough % for the conmen to think of great ideas and fairy tale story.

Not sure how many victims has already fallen into this whoever ploy. Hoping that no one so "Goon" will even attempt to interact with him. But of course this whoever is playing with everyone's 七情六欲. 贪欲 is pure greed. Anyone who wants to 不劳而获 and usually 获 in a very significant way.

Though some might just 贪小失大 …

So USD $30 million, say we split 1/2 1/2. Probably I will get USD $15 million which is about SGD $24 million. For a normal white collar employee, say earning SGD $60K annually, you will take about 24 years at 10% yearly increment to have about SGD $5 milllion, that is if you do not spend a single cent of your salary. And still so far away from SGD $24 million.

Dear Friend,

I am Zhu Li, Bank Manager of Bank in China, Shenzhen branch.I have urgent and
very confidential business proposition for you.On November 6,2001, a British Oil
consultant/contractor with the Chinese Solid Minerals Corporation, made a
numbered time (Fixed) Deposit for twelve calendar months, valued at
US$30,000,000.00 (Thirty Million Dollars) in my branch. Upon maturity, I sent a
routine notification to his forwarding address but got no reply.

On further investigation, I found out that he died without making a WILL, and
all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless.I therefore made further
investigation and discovered that he did not declare any kin or relations in all
his official documents, including his Bank Deposit paperwork in my Bank.
According to Laws of Republic of China, at the expiration of 6 (six) years, the
money will revert to the ownership of the Chinese Government if nobody applies
to claim the fund.

Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you as a foreigner to stand in as
the next of kin to the man so that the fruits of this old man's labor will not
get into the hands of some corrupt government officials. This is simple, I will
like you to provide immediately your full names and address so that the attorney
will prepare the necessary documents and affidavits that will put you in place
as the next of kin.

Upon your response, I shall then provide you with more details and relevant
documents that will help you understand the transaction. Please send me your
confidential telephone and fax numbers for easy communication. Please observe
utmost confidentiality, and rest assured that this transaction would be most
profitable for both of us because I shall require your assistance to invest my
share in your country.

Awaiting your urgent reply via my email:

Thanks and regards.

Zhu Li.

Spurs need a miracle !!!

The "ten" is silent. Some people pronouced it as "Tot" "ten" "ham". The club that I supported since I start watching english football. It was Gary Lineker whom I really like and he was from Spurs at that time. He is not as skilful, not as fast, but he scores loads of goals. And somehow he was not cautioned before in a game, something not possible in today's games.

During that period, soccer was not as sophisticated. People don't just buy clubs over and inject tonnes of $ to buy players to win silverware. You don't bid players for $89 million pounds and pay them $300,000 pounds a week. John Terry gets $130,000 pounds a week. So annually, salary alone he is getting about SGD $2.1 million.

Back to the main topic, Spurs had a bad start. Really bad. Probably also being pundits are seeing them to getting something better than 5th. After last night 3-1 defeat at St James Park, thing are looking really bleak. Defence has been very poor this season, with King still out. Dawson and newbie Kaboul are committing costly mistakes. Compound with Robinson's bad patch ... Hiaz

You can concede 3 goals, but can you score 4 ?

The arsenal game was a good example, several golden opportunities to go 2 or 3 up. Even the reliable keane and berbatov are wasting chances. 1 or 2 scoring chances are seen as crucial when you know your defence or keeper are going kamikaze anytime before full time.

News of getting Ramos to replace Jol did not help either. Names poped out, Capello, Mourinho, Klinsmann, etc. Jol did a great job, consecutive 5th place finish. Berbatov was a gem buy, simply technically superb, great finishing, team player, clever.

$18 million pounds Bent was crap. I am not sure why Jol bought him, maybe because of presurred in getting a big name buy. To me, he is just a taller but slower defoe. He did thumped him goals for Charlton for 2 or 3 seasons but for 18 mil ? Please ...

Bale is the only signing that is giving some credile performance so far.

Spurs have 5 games in 13 days next. A string of good results is needed miraculously to put spurs back on track or at least safe from relegation which will be calamitous :(

Pantry

Pantry is the one area where most employees will go daily other than the toilet. Normally, you will spend a few mins at the start of the day, washing your cup, getting your plain H20, or a cup of kopi or teh.

One thing I find it quite amusing is some people come in tray of several cup, glass, thermo ones, pots, flask, etc. Used by a single person ? Or daily helped people or the bosses to wash or replenish ?

If one has 2, probably is fine. One for plain water, the other for whatever. If you come in 3, 4, 5 or more ... then probably that person is so particular. I still believe it could be a goodwill service to bosses.

Countdown to Macau/HongKong ....

买东西 吃东西 买东西 吃东西 买东西 吃东西. In 11 days time, we will be heading to macau.

Flight/Price
Going by Tigerairways. Yup, not the airbus 380. And the so called budget airlines, not that cheap also ... somehow. The ticket came to about $300 per pax, though still cheaper if flying by jetstar to hk.

The only stoopid thing here will be the "To" timing. You have only 2 times to choose, 6 am or 3 something pm. Quite bo bian one has to choose the 6 am one, as the 3 something flight will make you lose a day's time.

The "Back" timing is still okay. Because only one timing, so nothing to choose. Haha

Accomodation
Hotels are aplenty to choose from in macau and hongkong. Was considering Venetian, but not really worth it if staying all nights there, it will cost about 1 to 1.2K SGD each, just for the accomodations. Metropark, Macau looked decent enough, about 4*. Each person about $280 SGD for 5 nights with breakfast.

What to do
I came up with a base itinerary, at least something to follow. One thing which I didn't expect was the ferry ride, wasn't that cheap. It will cost about $80 SGD to and fro daily.

Travelling has always been very popular in SG, almost every Singaporean loves to travel. Just boils down to how frequent, how much you willing to spend, who are you travelling partners, etc.

Looking forward to it :)

Everton v Liverpool@BJ TP

Another BJ outlet has opened or opening, in Woodlands. So we are missing one in the east, looks like should be in the pipe line. At 1830, it is already packed. Now the FC is filled with more food outlets, Jap, Thai, Pizza/Pasta, Waffle/Fondue, etc.

Looks like they are depending on BJ to bring in the crowds and hope that they can gain from the big crowds.

Everton to win was at $3.80, too good to miss. Haiz but as usual don't have this kind of side luck :( Even when everton took the lead when hyypia thumped in an own goal just before half time. They just collasped when ref gave a dubious penalty to pool where Dork Kuyt tucked away.

With 10 men, pool piled on. Their effort paid off when Neville found his "deep down" inside talent with a diving one-hand save on the goal line. He was off. Dork got his double.

Everton got their claims for penalties as well. The most obvious one was when Carragher man-handled Lescott down in the box just before whistle was blown. Lescott was suspicously playing as a 3rd striker :)

Can't believe why ref didn't give that while he gave the first one to Pool.

We got the Double Botak, Fish n Chips, Pizzas. The fries was probably just out, was hot and "sedap" ... really savoury. Beef patty with the melted cheese on top + some mustard was wonderful. The unique "tartar" sauce for the fish n chips up the appetite.

The pizzas though with quite generous ingredients and cheese failed on the crust and dough base. It was still okay overall.

One of the 血盆双煞 somehow still can down another Rosemary Lambchop. But the lambchop is really good. There is this new stall called chocolate hearts, it sells brownie, waffles with choco dip, ice cream, etc. But the waffle lose out quite abit to the Golden Mile ones.

Left after watching contender for the most boring first half of 07/08 between Ars v Bolton :)

First attempt on my Canon s5 ...

Wanted to try out my new gadget especially in the night time. Day shots are really good even at the widest angle, at least to my eyes. Problem lies in the night, though pre-defined scenes shots are already a default in most cameras.

Night time when light is at its minimum is still a problem. I think I need to find a best stable grasp on the cam for night shots, though the best will still to find some object to support it.

And also play around with the ISO to get its optimum selection at different scenes ...

The s5 has these scenes :

Protrait, Landscape, Night Snapshot, Sports, Night Scene, Indoor, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Aquarium, Colour Accent and Colour Swap.

Night Snapshots, Night Scene and Indoor are probably the ones that are commonly used. Night snapshots allows capturing of people in front of night background and reduces cam shake as well.

Some of the pictures at the below link.

I got my canon s5 !!!

I got my canon s5 after some reading on what should I get and the best deal out there now. For ultra-zoom cams, the s5 is one of the best you can get in the market. I was thinking about the s5 or the olympus sp550-uz, because my friend can get it at a very good price.

But the reviews are not that good on it, timings are bad and use of xD card slows the saving. These are the main reasons that made me go for the s5. I got it for $720 at John 3:16 at Funan. The best deal checks seems to hover around $710 to $740. And since Oct 8th, canon is giving out freebies for almost all its cams.

For s5, you get a 2 GB SD card and a recharge batt pack. I went for this shop for 2 reasons, it topped the 2 free items with a free canon bag though I don't find it useful for me as I would want something bigger. The other reason was that guy in John 3:16 was really friendly, somehow, his name is Samuel btw.

Quite a few regulars in the shop when I was there ...

Got the enelope recharge batt as well. Recommended by him as these batt can keep the "charge" for months. $22.

Still trying to figure the buttons, modes, controls, blah blah ... etc. Best and shortest way to shoot. The super macro mode it has was quite interesting, so called allows you to shoot at object 0 cm away. This was a shot of my keyboard, almost 0 cm away.

Funny ... Hahahaha

This guy is good. Russell Peters. I heard of him but not sure if I watch any of his shows. My colleague intro him to me recently. Caught one of his clip just now, really funny :)

Gyokuro is here !!!

The gyokuro is here !!! In 5 days, indeed quite fast. Same taste as the one I had before. Good stuff though expensive. A teabag for me can last me to about 4 cups, the taste is still there.

兄弟

Brothers, a movie attempting to describe 兄弟情 but in a triad society environment.

Looking at the cast, it feels like a reunion of “A” list actors from the past, 苗乔伟, 汤镇业, 黄日华, etc. Eason Chan looked out of place in this movie, he just doesn’t fit into a triad family. And somehow I don’t like his frizzy and curly hairstyle, looked frivolous.

Police and triad movies from hongkong are aplenty though not producing at a rate during its boom period.

The poster of brothers seems to attract the attention of audience with its sleek and very “义气” like design. But the movie just failed, maybe expectation was just not there.

Initially, the plot still looked good as details are tight but as it gets along, it slow down and I felt like … “Why don’t just it ends ?”. The worst is the ending, with everything within expectation in place, a twist or some “big bang” ending was like “in the pipeline”.

Sigh … Nah. Ending was …. Crap, at least to me.

This 天哥 guy, the head of the triad was supposed to have 20 years of good fortune as told by some master. In addition, the master also say his sons must be separated if not they will 相残. Eason was sent away to the US while苗乔伟
stayed behind.

And of course, others in the triad eyeing his position but then since he was “Po Pi” for 20 years, he remained in control till his son who remain by his side grew up.

苗乔伟 took over the rein and did the job well. But then the father was killed by the other oldie in the triad, can’t remember his name, who just “Buay Song” his father.

Eason came back and was used by 苗乔伟 to kill that oldie to avenge their father’s death. After that, the movie was trying to depict the trust, the 亲情, the 猜疑 between the brothers.

Then …. the crap ending.

Forgot to mention that Andy Lau was a cop in the movie. A triad must have police elements of some sort. 6/10.

Friday Dinner@Diandin LeLuk

Not the first time here. But I still have to say it serves damn shiok tom yum, just the right amount of spicy and sour, comes with generous amount of seafood. The pineapple rice, black pepper beef hotplace, beansprout in salted fish, chicken in red wine, etc are good. Simply delicious, the taste could be abit too savoury for some people. They seems to have expanded and taken some other shops.

Tried a new dish this time round, a promotion $10 chilli fish. Basically, deep fried fish drenched with thai chilli sauce all over it. The sauce was good but not much meat in the fish though, but is $10 so within expectation.

The beef was abit wierd today, it was hard like it was fried before and the cooked again sort of. Taste like beef jerky.

The main is still the tom yum. Simply power, you can feel it around your lips, you sweat and is like the heat surrounding your head. But somehow not overwhelming and brings up your appetite.

About $20 per pax for 3 persons, reasonable being we ordered 3 dishes, tom yum and the pineapple rice :)

933 万人迷

About 15 mins in the morning, definitely will tune in to 933 万人迷. It is because driving to work. Has never been a avid fan of such radio shows, more like if I am at home, will never listen to radio kinda of thingie.

Anyway, this 万人迷 is quite entertaining. Chemistry between 志勇, 佩芬 and Ivy quite good. And their morning song, taking the tune of Hair Spray with new lyrics, quite interesting !!!

Basically, they will give you news of all kind and talk crap on it. Yesterday, they are saying there was this Ah Pek who called food delivery hotline and order food but deliver to another address. Pizzas, fast food, KFC, etc.

Somehow, he was caught. More important, this is consider under the telecommunication act, an offence, up to $10,000 fine and/or 3 years prison term ... Interesting.

A bo liao ah pek playing some prank on someone probably he knew or doesn't even know. Wonder why .... :)

Gyokuro Green Tea

Tea is known for its benefits to health. Probably not those cheapo liptons or kopitiamones but even these might have some beneficial properties. Anyway, I just ordered some"Gucci" "Prada" "LV" gyokuro green tea from japan. It was considered a luxury item even locally.

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), an antioxidant found in green tea, is at least 100 more times more effective than vitamin C and 25 times more effective than vitamin E at protecting cells and DNA from damage believed to be linked to cancer, heart disease and other serious illnesses. This antioxidant has twice the benefits of resveratrol, found in red wine.

Green tea have benefits like reduces high blood pressure, lowers blood sugars/cholestrol, boost immune system and weight loss. But how effective and how much consumption for how longto have effects not really known.

I am quite a tea person so decided to get it after I tried a sachet. The fragrance isawesome and quite heavy though it was describe as less aromatic than sencha, another kind of green tea. Till the 5th or 6th refill, the taste is still there.

Cost about $19 USD for a bag of 12 sachets :) www.japanesegreenteaonline.com

30s away ...

I was just 30s away from collecting my winnings ...

Spurs endured a first 20 mins of Liverpool attack and got themselves level before half time after Berbatov cleverly flicked on for Keane to tuck home clinically.

It was even a better second half ...

A replication of the first goal but now at the other end. Berbatov knocked down Robinson's huge freekick and Keane usually very reliable, did not disappoints.

Pool piled on but did not look really like scoring and with Spurs holding well, have some half-chances of their own. It seemingly looked like an win at Anfield since 1993 might have well take some pressure of the beleaguered Jol.

Sigh ... it has been the story so far this season

2 mins into added time. Torres found some space to nod home the equalizer. DIE DIE !!

Spurs might just deserved for the 3 points last night but in reality, not really.

Resident Evil : Extinction

Milla Jovovich continued her undead killing spree in this 3rd instalment. But a change of environment, this time in the dessert. The story still revolved round the umbrella corp trying the contain the T virus, trying to reverse the virus effect.

But failed yet again because without the the original Project Alice subject, the replications are having problems to reverse the virus.

Actually it doesn't matter, we just want to see milla do her thing. And now she is more powerful, can use mind power.

Ali Carter from Heroes lead a team of "still alive" people in the world of undead. Most are there just to be killed. Ali Carter lives to probably to be in the 4th instalment.

Dr Issacs, the one who was trying the reverse the virus turned into a powerful undead himself. The final scene where he pitted himself against Alice and kept repeating "I cannot be killed" as he can self-regenerate.

But also die, he was literally dissected by one of the umbrella corp booby trap.

Overall, a watchable movie. 7/10.

Friday Dinner@French Stall

The french stall. One of our frequent dine out place. It served very good food and desserts. But whether how french is it, not sure about that but not very important. They have specials now and then. Today's ones looked quite tempting.

"Baked Small Chicken with cheese in streaky bacon on a layer of spinach and pimento sauce"

Sounds good. Taste really good as well !!! But I didn't order that. I had the chicken leg in "some" sauce with their sauteed potatoes.

Tried the small chicken. With cheese stuffed inside and wrapped by the bacon, it was baked and somehow the combination was really savoury. Nice !! The pimento sauce was good as well. It is a kind of bell pepper but made into sauce.

The chicken leg was equally good. The sauteed potatoes simply our favourite. Is like 锦上添花 to any main dish.

Desserts time !!! This time round I got the sherbet which never tried but too bad they do not have pear sherbet, got the lemon sherbet instead. Good sherbet gives you the "ohmmmm" and "wake you up" 口感, this is as well.

The giant profitero seemed like got upgraded. As this was not the first time we have the profitero, but this one was really big. Simply marvellous !!!

Satisfying meal :)

The Recent Scam : Top 10 reasons why people kena conned !!

The recent phone scam made me wonder. Are they too smart or we are too stooopid ? I did receive 1 or 2 calls from china accent speaking people, claiming whatever whatever but did not mention any so called "lucky draw winner". Maybe I shoo them off beforethey can even entice me.

Ning Lao Bu ( NLB )

Ning Lao Bu send me a letter. Ermmmm ... I own them some money in 2002 !!! Because I return a book late, i assumed as I couldn't remember.

I own them $0.15. Yes, 15 cents !!! The cost of sending this letter confirm more than 15 cents !!!

Late Lunch@Inspirasi Stall

First time tried this malay stall, supposed that it served some good mee soto and mee rebus.

Several people in front of me despite was almost to 2 pm. And it is only $1.50 !!!

$1.50 hawker food is so rare nowadays. But then it is basically yellow noodles, bean sprouts, chicken and the chicken broth.

The soup was good, not too overwhelming. Serving just nice if you are not too hungry. The chicken was tender. There were 3 other Ts who joined our table, kept looking at our mee soto.

A while later, one came back with 3 mee soto but apparently from other stalls. They looked so disappointed and asked where did I get it from. Told them just behind ....

Only swapped jersey on the field ....

Job Agency ? How crappy can they get ?!?!?!

The process of finding a new job is always not easy for me. Most companies uses job agencies to get them the right candidates. Acting as a filter. I am not sure on the whole how successful does this kind of filter is.

Just too many unpleasant incidents happened on me, maybe is just my luck, maybe is my mix of experience and skillsets, maybe is because the IT sector, maybe ...

I found this actual event really funny ...

XXX recruitment company called

XXX "Are you still looking for a job ?"
Me "I am open to opportunities"XXX "My client is looking for someone who is highly skilled in ABC product h/w and s/w"
Me "I have experience in ABC but then we have to align the expectations of what is highly skilled"

XXX mumbled something ...
Me "Do you have an open position ?"
XXX "Oh yes, my client is an XX XXX"
XXX "How much are you drawing now ?"
Me "XXXX on a XX basis"
XXX "Oh I see"
XXX "Are you willing to take a pay cut ?"

I was baffled !!! IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO IS HIGHLY SKILLED IN THAT NICHE PROPRIETARY SOLUIION to be willing accept such a pay !!! *Meaning lower then what i get*

XXX "She giggled and agreed with me"Cock !!! Then why ask such a unprofessional question ??!!?!

They should be familiar with specific areas in the whole of the IT sector.

In the end, she even asked whether I will be willing to buy myself out. Almost wanted to shout at her and don't waste my time ! Crap !

Sounds like a newbie who kena arrowed to try someone out.

This is only a telephone incident. There are numerous others where time is spent during actual interviews and simply was unfulfiling or just wasting both parties time.

Either the agency is desperate to push people in and "hala" in their submitted profile or some cockups here and there. Sigh.
