Macau/Hong Kong - Day 2 ( Part 1 )

2nd day in our trip. Made some changes to accommodate us watching the Arsenal v Man Utd match tonight so will be staying in Macau. Not much complaint on the hotel which only cost us $50 SGD a night including breakfast. Though would be better if there is a safe in the room.

Woke up at 8:30 am. Washed up and went down for buffet breakfast. Somehow our aircon still cold even at 28 degree. The breakfast was within expectation, average stuff, nothing fantastic. Some worth mentions were the french toast, butter croissant, scrambled eggs, bacon.

After the breakie, we set off for the Guan Yin statue.

It was still within walking distance so we strolled there in cooling weather.

Along the way, we saw MGM Grand, to be open soon. Another iconic casino entertainment complex in Macau. The Guanyin was a huge status along the coast. Beneath it is a basement that displayed items related to it. Other than that, nothing much to it.

The MGM Grand

After that, we took a cab to the macau tower. The ticket to the tower cost about $80 HKD. One can try the bungee jump, sky jump or sky walk. Not cheap to do a sky jump, cost about $1000 HKD that includes a DVD of the jump.

Though 血盆 is on for the sky/bungee jump but I probably can do the sky walk but the jump will be something above my limit. But sAmE and tnoid not on even for the sky walk, Haiz … So we just went for the view.

There are 2 levels, a viewing deck and the highest deck. The viewing deck’s circumference ground are made of see through material. So standing on it gives you a “飘飘然” feeling as well !!! The highest deck is where people do the sky walk or jump.

Coincidentally, one “siao lang” qatarian was doing the bungee jump. He seemed really hyperactive and so excited.

Either he was a real dare devil or simply he already “lao chair sai”. I believe he is the latter because after his jump, when at the highest deck, he was outside the area where people were doing the sky walk.

He did his own style. Basically, he flung himself out towards the sky but with the safety rope attached to him, he was swinging as if he is flying.

Some nuts case he is !

Enough of heights. I bought a little 印章 at a cart shop at the basement. The 章 is basically most of the Chinese surnames. I got mine which is 严 but in 繁体.
