Macau/Hong Kong - Day 1 ( Part 2 )

Then we head to义顺 milk company for some desserts.

The 双皮炖奶 was what we came for, so naturally we got that and was not disappointed.

It was milk but taste like 豆花 texture but much more silky and smooth.

It cost about $3 SGD.

Good stuff :)

Then we KLKK around the area opposite Senando, wanted to find a church but looked like it was not there anymore or most probably we missed it.

Anyway, we head back to Senando, wanting to buy the cookies and pastries. The 凤凰酥 and 杏仁饼 tasted good, I got some of that and some 花生糖. Though just had lunch, I still tried a 手信葡挞 , very nice, burnt taste and the pastry was crisp, the egg taste was just right.

Then we got into a cab and head back to hotel. We checked in, unpacked and rest for a while. It was about 5 pm and we thought of going for early dinner. Fernando was our destination, we got the hotel to help us make a reservation, but surprisingly it was a holiday on friday, therefore they do not accept reservations.

Anyway, we still went for it. Macau have very early sunset. Reached there about 6 pm and was quite dark already. Still early, so seats are not a problem. We settled down and was prepared for another round for “极乐”.

But too bad, they don’t have clams that day, heard it was good. Then we went for their recommendations, grilled prawns, beef, suckling pig and roast chicken. It was another splendid meal. The prawns were big though not really hot, was covered with some damn good sauce. Nice !

The sucking pig was sedap as well. Meat was succulent and skin was very crispy. The beef was another one that comes with some damn good sauce. After these 3 dishes, the chicken tasted normal, though probably it was marinated with some spices, tasted good as well.

A MUST MENTION was THEIR BREAD.
I assumed it comes with the meals. Too bad the clams that will comes in sauces was not available, if not dipping it will be really good.

It was huge, something like our “尖头面包”, but much rounder.

When you break it into halves, you can hear the crackling sound because it was really crispy, the inside was soft and tasted really good, simple bread taste !

A definite must try if you are in Macau !!
