Spurs need a miracle !!!

The "ten" is silent. Some people pronouced it as "Tot" "ten" "ham". The club that I supported since I start watching english football. It was Gary Lineker whom I really like and he was from Spurs at that time. He is not as skilful, not as fast, but he scores loads of goals. And somehow he was not cautioned before in a game, something not possible in today's games.

During that period, soccer was not as sophisticated. People don't just buy clubs over and inject tonnes of $ to buy players to win silverware. You don't bid players for $89 million pounds and pay them $300,000 pounds a week. John Terry gets $130,000 pounds a week. So annually, salary alone he is getting about SGD $2.1 million.

Back to the main topic, Spurs had a bad start. Really bad. Probably also being pundits are seeing them to getting something better than 5th. After last night 3-1 defeat at St James Park, thing are looking really bleak. Defence has been very poor this season, with King still out. Dawson and newbie Kaboul are committing costly mistakes. Compound with Robinson's bad patch ... Hiaz

You can concede 3 goals, but can you score 4 ?

The arsenal game was a good example, several golden opportunities to go 2 or 3 up. Even the reliable keane and berbatov are wasting chances. 1 or 2 scoring chances are seen as crucial when you know your defence or keeper are going kamikaze anytime before full time.

News of getting Ramos to replace Jol did not help either. Names poped out, Capello, Mourinho, Klinsmann, etc. Jol did a great job, consecutive 5th place finish. Berbatov was a gem buy, simply technically superb, great finishing, team player, clever.

$18 million pounds Bent was crap. I am not sure why Jol bought him, maybe because of presurred in getting a big name buy. To me, he is just a taller but slower defoe. He did thumped him goals for Charlton for 2 or 3 seasons but for 18 mil ? Please ...

Bale is the only signing that is giving some credile performance so far.

Spurs have 5 games in 13 days next. A string of good results is needed miraculously to put spurs back on track or at least safe from relegation which will be calamitous :(
