First attempt on my Canon s5 ...

Wanted to try out my new gadget especially in the night time. Day shots are really good even at the widest angle, at least to my eyes. Problem lies in the night, though pre-defined scenes shots are already a default in most cameras.

Night time when light is at its minimum is still a problem. I think I need to find a best stable grasp on the cam for night shots, though the best will still to find some object to support it.

And also play around with the ISO to get its optimum selection at different scenes ...

The s5 has these scenes :

Protrait, Landscape, Night Snapshot, Sports, Night Scene, Indoor, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks, Aquarium, Colour Accent and Colour Swap.

Night Snapshots, Night Scene and Indoor are probably the ones that are commonly used. Night snapshots allows capturing of people in front of night background and reduces cam shake as well.
