IPODs - Second Generation

Apple annouced some new IPODs, new shuffle, new nano, 6th generation 30GB IPOD. The new shuffle and nano caught my eye. My 1 yr+ old 1 GB shuffle is still surviving, the new IPODs now come in anodized aluminium body, replacing the "100% anti-scratch-proof poly carbonate" body.

The new shuffle, still screenless, should be the smallest and lightest iconic mp3 player in the world, measuring at 4.1 x 2.7 x 1 cm and at only 15.6 g. Other than the new aluminium body, the other evident change is charging the player nows needs a docking station.

In addition, the player is designed with a clip which you are "suppose" to clip it onto something. This is the definite player for those who do not have frequent intention to find a specific song to listen to.

In addition, the 1GB is priced at $138, compared to the 1 GB first generation shuffle which sells for $268 initially, this is a steal.

Yet to see the actual thing, Available in Oct. The clip thingie doesn't appeal to me though. If they do accept my shuffle as trade in, maybe can consider :)

On the other hand, the new NANO comes in 5 colours, silver pink green blue and black. Longer battery life, brighter screen, new headphones, gapless playback of audio. Hmmmm, interesting to know how this gapless playback is. Comes in 2GB, 4GB and 8 GB model at $248, $348 and $428.
