Saturday Dinner@Old Hong Kong
We returned again. They serve quite good food considering Cha Chan Teng level. It was packed but if I will compare this to the Q at Auston. Not sure if this was normal for Auston on a Sat evening, it was a Q that caught attention of other people across the street !
Back to OldHk, an interesting addition. Now they have free Wi-Fi, not sure since when but it is protected. You need a WEP key but upon asking a staff ... I gave up. Apparently, she does not know what I am talking about, keep saying it is a ISP issue as too many people maybe connecting.
Salt & Pepper squid. Desert Storm Chicken. Baked Broccoli with Portugese Sauce. The SP squid goes very well with rice with its crispy, savoury and spicy.
The chicken is called 大漠风沙鸡 !!! So literally is desert storm chicken ! It was good. Basically roast chicken with deep fried garlic on top of it. The meat was very tender and the garlic gives it a fragrant taste.
The baked broccoli was something new. But at $12, abit expensive to me. Came in a boat shape like utensil usually for baked rice. The sauce was yellow and quite thick with a concentrated cheese in the centre. Not bad.
