Friday Desserts@House
House was featured in a recent article in 8 days. I read that there is a ex-Raffles hotel chef working his or her magic there, that may explained why they served some mean cakes. We had the chai choco cake and strawberry shortcake last time round.
They won't quite prepared when we went on their second day of business. Now most of the staff are dressed in school uniforms, some which are quite young made them really looked like primary school kids. While some old ones, looked like they failed exams so many times that they are still wearing primary school uniforms.
This time, the choco almond cake and the apple cider did not disappoint too. I like the choco almond better.
The cake was thick, not spongy, externally covered with chocolate with some crunchy nuts on top coated with sweetie stuff.
The nuts were good. And of course, roasted almonds in and over it. In it are also chocolate bits.
Every bite of it gives a very full taste.
The apple cider was drenched in some sauce. Overall, it have a fruity taste and cake was thick as well, not spongy, but abit too sweet.
Another 2 wonderful cakes. Its cakes ranged from $7 to $12, abit on the high side but still worth having again.
Its food menu looks quite tempting too. Next time, most probably will have a full meal there.
In addition, with its selection of teas, should be a regular addition to our dinner places.
