Saturday Dinner@Canele

Croque Madame is a good combination of ham, cheese and toast with some don't know what spread, mayo like but subtle with potatory taste. It comes in 2 thick toast, the top one melted with Swiss Gruyère cheese and on top of it, is a sunny side up ... It looks good.

Taste wise, equally not bad. The toasts are crisp on the outside, hot and soft inside, with several layers of ham in between ... so it is like sunny side, cheese, toast, ham, spread then toast again. It will make a good breakfast but this as dinner for me was as nice.

Extoique is the dessert.

"Flambéed caramelized banana, chocolate sauce, passionfruit banana sorbet, vanilla tuile and vanilla crème chantilly"

The sorbet wasn't the the norm one, which taste more like ice. This one is really smooth and creamy, passionfruit and banana makes it sour but goes well with the crepe and vanilla cream. The large pieces of tuile are good, crispy and thick enough to taste the crunchiness with vanilla.
