After Portugal vs France

France continue their good run against the Portugal team who have not beat them in competiitive matches ... No surprises in both of the team's line up ... Portugal have not score in their last 2 matches faces Germany in the third place play-off coming Sunday morning ...

First Half ... Malouda has a chance to shoot at goal only after 38 seconds ... but he can only shoot wide ... this is one of the few chances France has in the match ... Portugal looked the better side but chances created is not really clear-cut ... Deco tested Barthez from the edge of the penalty box which he palmed away the shot ... Maniche, Figo and Ronaldo has shooting chances but fail to test Barthez


Turning point came when Carvalho left a trailing leg in the penalty when he fell ... and Henry tripped over it and fell ... Penalty !!! Zidane took a few steps and sent the firm right foot shot into the far right corner ... Ricardo who saves 3 English penalty guessed right but could not stop the shot ...

Gallas and Thuram did well in central defence to deny Portugal any real chances

Second half started with Portugal looking for the equalizer ... but it is Henry that has the real first glimpse at goal ... he cuts in from the left and shoot ... Ricardo managed to smother the shot out for a corner ...
