Friday Dinner@Modesto

Had a good dinner before the movie. Actually first time at Modestos, the one at Vivo. Numerous pasta and pizza to choose from. So are starters/Appetizers and salads which was in the menu. Calamari, Mini pizza and their famous linguine seafood pasta.

The seafood pasta comes in single portion or portion for 2, cheaper if you get the portion for 2. The calamari came shortly, huge pieces which are slightly battered, deeep fried but not that oily. It was really good and the tartar sauce base sauce goes very well with it.

Then came the pizza, thin crust. Tomatos, cheese and spicy pork salami. I like salami but not his pork salami, somehow taste like expired bak kwa. Anyway, the additional shreded cheese powder compensate for it.

After a while, the pasta came in a big plate with a huge aluminium foil on it. The pasta was inside ! Portion for 2 ! Served on the side where the waiter split it into 2 portions. The portion was really huge and ingredients was very generous and fresh. Mussels, clams, prawns, squids and half a crab each. The tomato base sauce was thick and yet not overwhelming. Though the crab a bit difficult to eat without getting your hands dirty. The meat could have been taken out and cooked with the rest. Towards the end, became slightly challenging to finish, but still made it. If not really hungry, a single portion should suffice for 2. A portion for 2 probably would be for someone like MXX Selamat whom still was finding berries in the jungles :)

Dessert was Profitero. We had it at French Stall and love it. This version was different. It came in 3 small ones drenched with chocolate cream sauce, equally good ! I am still so full as I am writing this entry !
