三國之見龍卸甲

The first of several movies adapted from "Romance of the 3 Kingdoms". Review for this was not really well received. About 120 years of history in a 2 hour movie, of course not, this one focus on 赵子龙, protrayed by Andy Lau. He was a commoner from 常山 who joined 刘备's army. The movie didn't explain why was he so good in his fighting and battle skills.

He was a nobody till he battled 曹操's army while saving 刘备's son. Not that he returned alive being surrounded by 千军万马, he almost killed 曹操.

Nonetheless, he still managed to take his personal weapon. All these was seen by his granddaughter, 曹樱, played by Maggie Q.

I watched consecutive movies by Samo Hung !!! Don't think this happened before ! He was 罗平安, an useless soldier who was in the army before 子龙.

He wanted personal glory and to be remembered. And also he was there to provide the narration. Other than these 3 main commercially advertised cast, a long list protrayed key characters in the movie.

Some more known ones are 狄龙, 刘松仁, Vanessa Wu, etc.

Some of the battle scenes are really quite NC16, which I liked them. Weapons piecrcing through bodies, limbs, shoulders, you name it. But some are so fast and confusing, can't really see what actually happened. Anyway, 子龙 rose through the ranks and becomes legendary as "常胜将军". He and the rest of the 五虎 embarked to destroy 曹操 but to no avail as one by one failed and got killed.

Movie ended 子龙's army trapped at 风鸣山 because his brother was in cahoots with 曹樱. He was promised a general post in return. In the enf, an old and injured 子龙 charged towards 曹樱 and her army. 7/10
