疯狂的石头

This movie has been getting good reviews and box office results in china ... though a bit sceptical on my side how funny and good can it be ... is a movie in china with cast of china artisties ... produced by first focus ... Andy Lau's company ... But the movie was so good and entertaining that a KL came to watch !!!! alone 3rd row from the screen !!!! enjoying his corn in a cup before movie starts !!!! Whatever ... back to the movie

Quite a confusing start to the movie ... maybe because not familiar with cast or the different groups of people appearing and with their own agenda ... basically the story is about a precious jade stone which was found and then showcases in a factory ... and was suppose to be auction off so as to save the factory which is in financial troubles ... but with no money ... who to guard the stone ? an employee of the factory ... a jaded ex-dectective and his ka kia ...



When the action starts ... the plots thickens and coincidences ... complexities ... confluences ... and comical moments in galore ... kinda of like "lock stock and 2 smoking barrels" ... "Snatch" ... "Ocean Eleven" .... and some scenes are shot in "forwarded" motion ... is like it gives you the result of the original action ... and later ... "replayed" back the process of the "action to the result"

The Protector : The ex-dectetive and his ka kia
The Unscrupulous Son
The Villian Propery Developer
The "Expert" ... hired by the villian developer to steal the stone
The 3 Stooges Con-men

Hilarious scenes are aplenty ... which are near to Stephen Chow's 无哩头 style ... there are a few hints on China itself ... the Expert who got his stuff snatch without being notice at point blank with the "covered your eyes guess who i am" trick ... and the equipment that the Expert bought in China to help him steal the stone ... all wasn't the expectation ! Like the Mission Impossible style lowering rope kit ... die die die die die a few cm short for him to reach the stone !

Indeed was as per the reviews the movie is getting ... a very good choice if you need a good laugh ... crazy stone gets 8/10 from me for simply being pure entertainment ... complicated yet effective plot with a single catalyst, the crazy stone
