UnderWorld - Rise of the Lycans

A prequel to the successful sequels of Beckinsale Underworld where vampire fights werewolves aka lycans from past to now. Rhona Mitra, the tomb raider video game poster girl, is the vamp Sonja, daughter of Lord Victor. The action packed into this 92 mins movie where vampire rules and lycans captured as slaves.

And there seems to be 2 kind of lycans, those so called pure and full blooded ones seemingly can't turn themselves back into humans form. Lucia, the lycan that was kept alive by Victor so as to use them to protect the vamps and their nobles. In this scenario, then there seem nothing else as the fuse to anymore bloodshed, so Sonja need to love Lucia and Lucia need to love Sonja.

Lucia wanted freedom and wants Sonja to come with him. It became ever more eager to gain freedom when Victor imprisoned him, because he defied his order and remove some dog collar. Apparently this dog collar worked its magic, wearing it, he couldn't turn into the werewolf. Anyway, he took it off to save Sonja when she was out to escort the human "Nobles".

So Lucia got whipped and celled. He was pissed and wanted to escape. And he mention Sonja, dennis, his father's ka kia can help, Dennis seems to know about their relationship. Sonja seek the truth and gotten Dennis help to free Lucia in return for her position in the Tampines Town Council ... Okay ... not the TTC, it was some council where 11 useless and weak vampires sit arounds and decides who get punished.

And since vamp do not die that easy, Dennis waited for this chance. Lucia did escape and with some human-turned-lycans and some lycans. The scene where one of the esacaping whatever got speared through this cheek ... quite hiong. Anyway, Sonja didn't make it out as Victor found out his daughter and Lucia got one leg.

So Lucia came back for her, got captured again. Victor and the TTC sentenced Sonja to death, she was solared to death. Lucia turned into wolf and try to escape again, didn't really manage to do that ... But did manage to howl over the wall to call upon the 3,556,773,831 pure blood lycans out there for help.

The Vamps was overpowered but Victor escaped with Dennis and the coffined elders. So they do see more sequels to this prequels or more prequels to this prequel. 7/10
